How it works

Importing a car from Germany, step by step

What happens from the moment you tell us which car you want until it is parked at your door with Spanish plates.

The process

  1. You tell us the car. Make, model, year, mileage and budget — by WhatsApp or through the form. If you are not sure which version you want, we help you choose.
  2. We find it at official dealers. We search the approved used stock of Mercedes-Benz, BMW, MINI and Porsche dealers in Germany and send you a real selection with the price of each car.
  3. We check it. History, mileage, condition and the warranty that comes with that specific car, confirmed in writing before you buy anything.
  4. Transport and paperwork. Road transport in Germany, the ferry to your island, import ITV inspection and Spanish registration. You do not deal with hauliers or agencies.
  5. Delivery. You get the car at home, registered in your name and ready to drive. Usually around 10 days from payment.

What the price includes

Car, road transport in Germany, ferry to your island, import ITV inspection, Spanish registration and our service. Everything you need to have the car at home and in your name.

Separate: the registration tax (0 % to 16 % in the Balearics, depending on CO₂ — see the registration tax calculator), the local road tax (IVTM) and insurance.

How you pay

You pay each party directly — the car to the official dealer, the transport to the haulier, the registration to the agency — and we give you each contact and coordinate everything. The car is reserved and set in motion once payment is made, so before you pay we confirm the car, its condition, its warranty and the final price in writing. Full detail in our terms of service.

The paperwork, in short

For a used car coming from another EU country, the Spanish traffic authority (DGT) asks for five steps: prove ownership, pass the import inspection and get the Spanish technical sheet, pay the taxes, apply for the registration (fee 1.1, €99.77) and fit the plates. The car must also be deregistered for export in Germany first. We explain it in detail in registering an imported car in Spain.

How long it takes

Usually around 10 days from payment to delivery. It depends on the car, on the ferry to your island and on the inspection appointment; if anything moves, we tell you.

Questions people ask

Can I import any car, or only what you have?

Any car. We do not work from our own stock: we look for the exact model, version and equipment you want among official German dealers.

Are there customs duties?

No. Germany and Spain are both in the EU, so there are no import duties. What does apply is Spanish registration tax, and the local road tax of your town hall.

Who owns the car?

You do. The official dealer invoices the car in your name; we are the intermediary that finds it, checks it and organises everything.

Can you import an Audi?

Yes. Audi is back in our search since 25 September 2026, so we can tell you what is available — its figures will show up in the availability table over the next few days.
